I’m nearly situated here. I had the television on all day, just in the background while I cleaned.
I have to clean a place once I've moved in. Same if I’m on holiday, the first day, the first hour – a quick clean. I just give the surfaces a wipe if I’m on holiday, otherwise I’ll do a proper job. Better to discover the funk with rubber gloves on and a bleach bottle at the ready.
I watched a show from the 80s. Someone was wearing a neon orange sports outfit. What a wild time that must have been.
I’ll try and describe another thing I saw on TV: One person lifted his right hand into the air, his palm facing a person who stood in front of him. He then said, “Hi five”. The other guy slapped the first chap's palm with his own. The next thing that happened was that the second guy then turned around and put his left hand behind his back with his palm horizontal, but facing up. He then said “Down below”. Then the first guy slapped the second guy's hand.
Anyway, throughout this mating ritual, both were grinning from ear to ear like some thing that has a big smile.
Anyway, after a day of that I made some dinner and sat in front of the TV while I ate. I caught the end of what must have been a great movie. It was about a man who sought to change his life.
He had a friend that he had to leave behind and wrote him a letter so that they might meet again. He hid the letter under some rocks and told his friend where to find it.
The friend, at his earliest convenience, retrieved the letter. As the letter was read I noted a wonderful phrase... “Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”~
I like that. Well, I don’t want to spoil the movie, in case you watch it, but the friends do meet again. I’ll say no more.
I see that my last post was uploaded on Thursday. If this goes up when I think it will, I'll have an idea of what to expect in future - assuming no issues this end, nor that.
Until next time, all the best.
