Round crochet placemats – Watermelon
Crochet 6 watermelon shaped placemats and a watermelon shaped holder to neatly store them in. I have also included adjustment instructions of this pattern to make a Sliced Apple Placemat Set (You will need to have the coaster pattern to fully understand the adjustments). I have used a smaller hook than standard for this size yarn to create a tighter stitch, which will help prevent liquid seeping through when in use. I have used acrylic yarn, but you can use cotton if you prefer.

- Size: Finished placemats measure approximately 27cm in diameter
To crochet this watermelon placemat set, you will need:
Red yarn – approx. 380yds
Dark Green yarn – approx. 230yds
White/Cream yarn – under 150yds
Black yarn – under 100yds
Optional: Light Green yarn for stripes and some pins – under 100yds
Polyester Fibre Stuffing – approx. 50g
A button – 20-25mm in size
